Michael Lindner, M.D. was surrounded by doctors as a young person—many of his relatives and family friends were doctors, so it was only natural that when it came time to choose a career, Dr. Lindner chose medicine. Not only was he familiar with the profession but it combined the two things he loved most: people and science.
Dr. Lindner completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He accepted a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he discovered his true calling. He says, “I chose gastroenterology because I wanted to specialize, but I also wanted to be intellectually stimulated and highly involved in diagnostics. Gastroenterology is a very diverse subspecialty that is challenging in so many exciting ways.”.
